Description
Machined from a 6061-T6 extrusion, BKF standard line of free float handguards will provide you with a lifetime of service. The 6061-T6 aluminum barrel nut does not need to be indexed for gas tube clearance. The anti-rotation tabs are designed to fit a standard forged upper receiver and will ensure that the rail will not shift if the mounting screws come loose. The patented ASAL mounting feature ensures that there is no forward movement of the handguard and keeps it from shifting due to tension on the mounting screws. Anti-rotation tabs may be a tight fit on forged uppers, and may require hand fitting on billet uppers.

Great handguard for $50, appears to be the same cut and barrel nut hook up system as the Dirty Bird brand on ar15discounts.com with the wedge lock and the small hole just under the top pic rail to match the hole in the Dirty Bird brand uppers as an additional anti-rotation lock up point when the rail seats against the upper with a small stainless pin/plug that splits the difference.

Nice hand guard for the price. It was much better than I thought it would be. M-lok on 5 sides. Nicely laid out. Solid lock up system, anti-rotation tabs, nice finish. Barrel nut might not be supper robust, but most of the “Gucci” ones aren’t either. Might not “go to war” with it, but it should hold up fine for all but serious abuse. For the price, you can’t beat it.

These are great handguards. The ASAL mount is extremely rigid with solid lockup.
If you want a heavier duty barrel nut to replace the 6061 ones that comes with these, the STNGR USA Gen2 steel barrel nuts are the same dimensions (I bought one and tried it; perfect fit).

Just like I’ve already reviewed other handguards like this from BKings. They are Rock Solid! The middle bolt has a wedge system. It ain’t moving until you want it to! These handguards do exactly what they need to do, lock up tight & wont move on you. Either the 5.56 or the 308, they both are excellent for free float handguards. . USA made with great 6061-T6 aluminum & a really nice finish to boot. Can’t go wrong with it. Priced really good as well! Did I say USA MADE??!!!!! Yep
