Description

New for 2024 is our M16A2 Receiver that is part of our new Retro Series. The final Air Force GAU-5/A and Army XM177E2 had an 11.5 in (292 mm) barrel with a longer flash/sound suppressor. The lengthening of the barrel was to support the attachment of Colt’s own XM148 40 mm grenade launcher. These versions were also known as the Colt Commando model commonly referenced and marketed as the CAR-15. The variants were issued in limited numbers to special forces, helicopter crews, Air Force pilots, Air Force Security Police Military Working Dog (MWD) handlers, officers, radio operators, artillerymen, and troops other than front line riflemen.

BKF AR15 11.5″ 5.56 Govt Profile Carbine Length 4150 CMV 1/7 Twist FSB Nitride Barrel (NON F-Marked For A2) Features:

This BKF 5.56 chambered 11.5 inch Government Profile Barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish and QPQ coated M4 feed ramp extension. This barrel includes the front sight base (NON F-Marked) For A2 Uppers , handguard cap and delta ring assembly.

You may use this barrel with a lower receiver that is a Registered SBR, Machine Gun, or Pistol. Possession of this barrel along with a Non-NFA lower receiver is Prohibited, except when permanently attaching a muzzle device extending the length to 16 inches.
