Description

The Model 605 was the first attempt by Colt to produce a “Carbine” style AR15/M16. The two Models offered were the Model 605A which had a 3-Way Fire Control Group (Safe, Semi, Auto), and the 605B which had a 4-Way Fire Control Group (Safe, Semi, Burst, Auto).The barrel was cutoff just past the Front Sight Base, the Bayonet Lug was removed, and the Flashhider was reattached giving the “Carbine” an overall length of approx 34 inches. This model was produced in very limited numbers and never saw any wide scale use in the field by Military Forces due to its unreliable operation. This product is 100% Made in the USA! Our gas tubes, gas blocks and even roll pins are all proudly manufactured in the US. All Complete uppers are headspaced prior to shipping and test fired.

M16A1 Upper Features:

This A1 upper receiver comes with the standard features of a Mil-Spec upper receiver and is forged from 7075-T6 aluminum with a black hard coat anodized, tough finish.  The A1 carry handle is ready for adjustable rear sight. The upper  will accept a standard dust cover. Use with any Mil-Spec lower receiver.

Our 5.56 chambered Dissipator Barrel W/ FSB Triangle (NON F-Marked). This barrel includes the front sight base (NON F-Marked) For A2 Uppers , Triangle handguard cap and delta ring assembly. This Triangle handguard cap is used for most retro builds. (NOTE: This barrel utilizes a MID LENGTH GAS SYSTEM using a Low Profile Gas Block under the handguard)
