Description
This 5.56 chambered 12.3 inch Performance Series Barrel is machined from 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium steel with a QPQ Corrosion Resistant Finish. Our performance series barrels feature a Nickel Boron Coated Extended M4 Feed Ramp Extension.
Hanson Series Barrels feature our proprietary BA Hanson profile and include a pinned lo-pro gas block. Hanson barrels are not designed to work with aftermarket piston kits.
All NFA/ATF Rules Apply
You may use this barrel with a lower receiver that is a Registered SBR, Machine Gun, or Pistol. Possession of this barrel along with a Non-NFA lower receiver is Prohibited, except when installed on a Pistol configuration firearm.

I ordered it on a Tuesday and it arrived at my door on Saturday. It was packaged well to protect it through the shipping process. When I unwrapped the barrel it seemed almost too good to be true to get a barrel this nice for what I paid, especially since it came with a pinned low profile gas block. I ordered the carbine length melonite gas tube for it. With shipping, insurance and signature required fee the order came to $129 altogether. Paired with a 2A Palouse-Lite Upper & a 11″ BKF Mod-1 MLOK rail. Barrel is reasonably heavy profile ‘gunner+’ style but not overkill. I usually prefer ultra-lite or pencil barrels but the handling and balance is excellent. The balance point is in the middle the magazine without a an optic or rear iron. Once those are added, it should be perfect.

Ordered 2 of the same barrel, received one. Notified the team at BKF and they fixed it immediately and shipped me the second promptly. Pretty happy with the 12.3″ barrel. Its everything I wanted from the AR platform in 5.56. I took both to the range right away after install and they feel great. I did not chrono them or put a large round count through them yet – but I did enough to feel confident within 200 yards. The pinned gas block is a nice feature and inspires confidence. Would buy from BKF again.

Also for reference, I matched this barrel with a Toolcraft BCG coated in DLC and it headspaced just fine. Ran an H2 buffer(~4.7oz) and spring from Aero precision and had a perect ejection pattern.
