Machined from a 6061-T6 extrusion, BKF standard line of free float handguards will provide you with a lifetime of service. The 6061-T6 aluminum barrel nut does not need to be indexed for gas tube clearance. The anti-rotation tabs are designed to fit a standard forged upper receiver and will ensure that the rail will not shift if the mounting screws come loose. The patented ASAL mounting feature ensures that there is no forward movement of the handguard and keeps it from shifting due to tension on the mounting screws. Anti-rotation tabs may be a tight fit on forged uppers, and may require hand fitting on billet uppers.

Very solid little handguard and matches magpul ODG. Joins the upper pretty tightly and aligns square with receiver rail. No movement. Love the alignment tabs and the retention groove in the barrel nut. Very nice cerakote finish. Its very small in diameter but my rifle is an FSB so hopefully it wont get too hot w/o the gas block under it. I mounted with the handguard cap to cover the gas tube and still left a tiny gap which I’m glad of to retain a free float arrangement. If I could have anything it would 1/4-inch larger in diameter for heat purposes but its very well ventilated and looks cool.
