Description
Machined from a 6061-T6 extrusion, BKF standard line of free float handguards will provide you with a lifetime of service. The 6061-T6 aluminum barrel nut does not need to be indexed for gas tube clearance. The anti-rotation tabs are designed to fit a standard forged upper receiver and will ensure that the rail will not shift if the mounting screws come loose. The patented ASAL mounting feature ensures that there is no forward movement of the handguard and keeps it from shifting due to tension on the mounting screws. Anti-rotation tabs may be a tight fit on forged uppers, and may require hand fitting on billet uppers.

Pros:
-Great Value, Great Quality
-Great Finish. Isn’t chalky like other budget rails
-Mlok Slots and Rails aren’t sharp or poorly machined. Easy on the hands.
-Doesn’t seem to have much flex and seems sturdy.
My only complaints:
-No Instructions are included, but it’s easy to install. No Timing needed.
-Aluminum Barrel Nut, I prefer steel.
-May not work with billet uppers unless you file away the anti rotation tabs.
Installation Tips:
Barrel Nut Torque:
40 Ft Lbs with Aero Shell. It’s an aluminum barrel nut. Don’t over do it!
Set Screws with Blue Thread Locker Torque:
Screws that thread into aluminum: 25 Inch Lbs.
Screw that threads into anti slip steel nut: 30 Inch Lbs
Always remember, less torque is needed with wet or lubricated screws.

Easy to install ,love the locking lug and and hardware. follow the torque specs provided in the review section. Big Thanks to that reviewer. Great milling and finish, its , very light, just holding in your hand its like holding nothing. One reviewer said that it was no frills. That statement while true is part of the reason for this design. The ample Mlok slots allowes me to place a QD, forward grip or any of the other 1000 attachments, where I want it. The more expensive tactacool ones have bludges near the barrel nut on both sides and rail in places I would never use. Why carry around the extra weight if its not used. I say its a light weight slim modular design with solid lock and anti rotation , that lends itself to practical individual customization depending on the task or mission. It got painted right out of the box and lives on my 50 shades of FDE rifle. By its self it may seem no frills , when you put your bells and whistles where you want them trust me its sexy as h*ll. I cant stop looking at mine. Thanks BKF for the fast ship , great packing and above all the stiff rail. I will be trolling your site for more deals.

Excellent handguard. The anodizing is spot on. First of all you can’t go wrong buying any of the BKF brand of parts / gear. Buy their gear you won’t be disappointed. This is a quality handguard. The anodizing is done right & looks great. The 2 bolts & wedge bolt system make for a strong lockup. No more moving handguards! The price is extremely reasonable.
