The FFSSR is a sleek, one-piece handguard that offers one of the slimmest profiles available on the market (1.50″), plus outstanding versatility for attaching your choice of accessories. Built-in, full-length top Picatinny rail provides plenty of versatility in mounting optics and sights, while four limited-rotation QD push button sling swivel mounts let you position the sling where it’s most comfortable for you. M-LOK Compatible also!
The P3R rail is built on Parallax’s proven AR-15 Free Float Super Slim Rail (FFSSR) design, and features slight changes to account for the heavier needs of .308 rifle systems. The .308 Rail utilizes internal ribs to strengthen and add rigidity to the rail, and is mounting using an scaled-up barrel nut system similar to that of the FFSSR.
This 308 rail system is strong enough to handle the rigors of duty rifle use, while it is also one of the thinnest and most ergonomic rail systems available for 7.62 NATO AR style rifles. Their design features a thin, rail-free section in the center of the rail that improves ergonomics.

It fits well with the M5 Aero receiver set and looks and feels great, but the barrel nut requires to be timed to have the upper rail match with the upper receiver rail. A difficult way to install. The black color is also a shade lighter than the receiver.

I used this Handguard on for a .308 Ar10 build using a Aero Precision upper and lower. The Mat black color is a bit different between the two manufactures but not to much that it looks clashing. I really like the design as I was looking for something different and a bit uncommon. (make sure you order the crows foot barrel nut wrench as it does NOT come with the handguard so I had to track one down from a different vendor. I would have rather paid a few $ more to have it come with the handguard than trying to track one down after the fact. As a minor improvement, add anti-rotation tabs on the bottom side of the rail. Over all I really like this product and design! looking forward to may next purchase.

This fits my Areo M5 (LR-308) perfectly. Supper easy to install and shipped extremely quick even in these crazies times. I am excited to compliment the handguard with a 24″ Barrel from Blackhole. It fits perfectly around my 750 Odin works adjustable gas block, has a seemless flow from the Areo upper, and fitts smoothly in my hand with the neck down center. I highly recommend this to anyone that’s like me and spent hours trying to figure out which would be the perfect rail for a long range LR-308.
