The FFSSR is a sleek, one-piece handguard that offers one of the slimmest profiles available on the market (1.360″), plus outstanding versatility for attaching your choice of accessories. Built-in, full-length top Picatinny rail provides plenty of versatility in mounting optics and sights, while four limited-rotation QD pushbutton sling swivel mounts let you position the sling where it’s most comfortable for you. Two rear picatinny rail mounts for sling hook type mounts. Sleeve-style barrel nut with 1-1/8” flats. Mounts using 4 standard, 2 low-head hex screws (included). Mounting holes every 22.5 degrees. Includes shims for proper alignment. Cutout sections compatible with all Magpul accessories, including rail sections. In addition, there are slots at the 45° positions to accept any accessory that fits Magpul M-LOK attaching system. Steel Barrel Nut finished in Black Nitride for corrosion resistance.

This has Sex Appeal! This freefloat is sturdy/solid but light weight and offers the functionality I was looking for rather than a plain full picatinny or tubular setup. I really like the design of the barrel nut and how the handguard secures to it. May seem like a pain to some getting it on, but its a great secure design.

Slight blemishes but they will cover up with aluminum black no problem.

To the point looks, feel and finish are great. I haven’t installed yet so can’t say anything about that. Dealing with the company for the first time, they did right by me although my timing was unfortunate. I ordered my handguard back in early February and finally received it in early August. Not their fault really. There was a reasonable explanation that there was going to be a 4 week or so delay and an option for a full refund. I chose not to because i had seen this going for over $250 at one point if I’m not mistaken and always liked the look of it. When i purchased it it was almost half of what it is now back in stock. Took a lot longer than I’d hoped but they were great about giving me updates through email as well as still money back offer. Shipped as soon as they were back in stock no problems. For a future build for me so was in no rush. Glad i waited it looks sweet! How it’s gonna feel on the gun in the hand will be determined. Sorry so long.
