The Gunner profile is a blend of two of the best performing profiles of all time, Gov’t and Pencil.
Proving that every once and awhile, the Government can do something right, the Gunner’s profile from the extension to the gas block mimics that well-known taper. From there, innovation takes over and the Gunner moves to a .750″ gas block journal and our famed pencil profile out front.
Removing the weight from the front of the barrel ensures maximum versatility and keeps material to the rear to maximize heat resistance and mitigate whip.
Faxon Firearms barrels are the pinnacle of value. Manufactured 100% in-house from cradle-to-grave, these barrels are fully stress relieved, air-gauge tested, and 11 degree target crowned to ensure superior accuracy.
Quality is imbued into our barrels from the start. We start with the best materials, either certified 4150 Mil-Spec steel or 416-R Stainless. From there, each barrel goes through a battery of tests at each operation until finished in Nitride and final inspected. All barrels are individually checked for headspace by precision custom hardened gauges.

Excellent service and product. I ordered this barrel, two actually, because it is the Faxon Gunner profile which makes the AR pistol handle like a dream. Other Faxon 10.5″ Gunner barrels in both 416R 5R and 4150 steels I have used shoot very, very well. The 5R has five grooves and the 4150 has four. No complaints in the accuracy department with either one. This barrel, being made of 416R but having four grooves is a steal at the price it is being offered. Too bad that Kings is now out of stock on this barrel as it is not a normal Faxon production item and sadly, there will be no more. Unless, of course, Faxon finds that the demand for it would make it worth producing again.

Note that the version that ships matches Faxon’s pics with an extension that is bare metal (as is standard). BFK’s sale price on this was just stellar. And shipping speed was in line with all the big players–I had this in hand in a little over two days. -TT

Not too many rounds down range so far, but non-match factory ammo grouping at about 1 moa and nitride makes for easy cleaning. As always BKings shipped fast and accurate and was a good value.
